The States of Guernsey is the parliament and government of the British Crown Dependency, the island of Guernsey. It is formed of one senior Committee, six principal Committees and various Authorities, Boards and Commissions, which collectively oversees the islands public services and infrastructure. The Committee for Health & Social Care (HSC) is responsible for commissioning and providing services that meet the health and social care needs of the local population as well as the promotion of population health and wellbeing and prevention of disease. HSC comprises more than 100 States funded-services areas, including acute and community-based services.
